Scroll a little down. More of me here!
My name is Nayef Abu Qaddum, I am a Palestinian and a Canadian and I welcome you warmly. Here is who I am even more, and how I have come to do what I do so zealously!
I spent 3 years studying my Bachelors of English Literature at the Toronto Metropolitan University, before transferring to York University and continuing there as an English Literature student. I later transferred to York University, to finally pursue my Bachelor’s in Philosophy. I joined i3 Institute for a Bachelors of Advanced Islamic Studies, deciding to move from there and finishing at the Islamic Online University, for my Bachelors of Arts in Islamic Studies. I completed my memorization of the Quran.
I have also completed my Islamically Integrated Coaching Certification from Solace—Islamic Mental Health Services granting me counselling and coaching licence. I am a self-published author with my book release happening in the foreseeable future as well. I am also licensed by the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences as a Mental Health counsellor and accredited by the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
I have a visible presence on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, producing content in line with my spiritual counselling, counselling and coaching work. I am the founder of the Unboxed Union project which I have made as a podcast production lever with hopes of amplifying the excellence of Muslim and non-Muslim lives, spiritually and worldly together.
I spent the last 15 years in public speaking as a Khatib in Toronto, Canada. I delved much of my life as an Imam and a teacher in a spiritual setting, specifically at Daleel Islamic Association. I have worked in the non-for-profit sector managing fund-raising and public relations and communications in a managerial role for i3 Institute, Toledo Foundation, Ashraful Aid and the Toronto Islamic Centre, serving as an Imam and spiritual counsellor as well as coach too. I also worked as an English teacher abroad in Turkey teaching and coaching grade 9 female and male students, additionally thought separately, spending a gracious period for the Agincourt Community Services Association on a grass roots level. This drove me for real life experiences with people as a start, very much that I enjoyed and look back on favourably. This took me by delight and ensured I was meant to be at the service of others. Lastly, I pursued writing for Medium as an online contributor, speaking on spiritual wellbeing and social welfare for a fulfilling time.
Lastly, I have completed my LivingWorks START training certification in suicide prevention and support from LivingWorks!
